Careers Education, Information, Advice and Guidance (CEIAG)
At Astrea Academy Sheffield, we are committed to ensuring that all scholars receive high-quality careers education, information, advice and guidance to help them make informed decisions about their futures.
Our careers programme aims to raise aspirations, develop employability skills and prepare scholars for further education, apprenticeships, training and employment.
Our careers programme is structured around the eight Gatsby Benchmarks of Good Career Guidance. This is achieved through Personal Development lessons, curriculum activities, employer encounters, careers events, workplace experiences and independent careers guidance.
We evaluate our careers programme through scholar, parent and employer feedback, destination data and regular reviews against the Gatsby Benchmarks. Astrea Academy Sheffield measures the quality of its careers provision against the Gatsby Benchmarks and reviews performance using Compass+.
